About Me
Hi there! My name is Katie Losier, I grew up on the Oregon Coast and have always had a passion for education and creativity. I have my bachelors in Elementary Education and recently completed my Master's in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from Western Oregon University. I developed skills in curriculum design, accessibility, and integrating technology to enhance learning outcomes. Beyond the technical side, I value creativity, collaboration, and innovation. I enjoy creating solutions that make education practical, engaging, and impactful.
Projects
Remediated Slide Design
In completing my Graduate Degree I created this project to showcase the skills and knowledge I had gained throughout the duration of my coursework. This project was a remediated slide show from Oregon Department of Educations website. The focus in this artifact was to facilitate communication, accessibility and inclusivity between the diverse audience who would be utilizing this resource.

Professional Projects
The remaining images are highlights from my work at Open Oregon Educational Resources where I assisted in developing educational images to include in the textbooks. I worked with authors, and subject matter experts to create images that aligned with content and best practices. A few of the courses showcased here are Sociology, Criminology, and Integrated Health Studies.
OER Textbook
The second artifact I created was a compilation of my work and Open Educational Resources (OER) to assist in basic skills and tips for beginning college students. Included in this resource are supplemental materials like reflection questions, assessments, a teacher guide, and templates. Artwork
In my free time, I love to tap into my creative side through painting and visual art. This artistic practice not only provides personal fulfillment but also informs my approach to instructional design—helping me think more creatively about visual communication, composition, and how learners interact with visual elements. I wanted to share a little bit of that creative journey here.
